Dolphins Plus Seasonal Education Associate Website Announcement

Dolphins Plus is looking for an energetic and passionate educator to join our education department this summer! We are now accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Education Associate. This 3-month, paid, seasonal position will run from mid May - mid August. Dates may be flexible for the right candidate.

The primary responsibility of the Education Associate is to assist the Director of Education with the education programs at Dolphins Plus, including but not limited to: curriculum/program development, all summer camp programs, and visiting school groups. The Education Associate should have a strong passion for education and working with children of all ages, as well as adults and teachers. The Education Associate should also have some experience with teaching, including practical training, excellent communication and time management skills, some familiarity with the Sunshine State Standards, a strong proficiency in the use of educational tools and software (e.g. PowerPoint and Microsoft Word), and a sense of creativity. Preference will be given to candidates who possess current first aid and CPR certifications.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Candidates must –
    • 1) Be at least 18 years of age.
    • 2) Have completed at least 1 semester of college
    • 3) Be available for a minimum of 3 months (40-hour/week) (+/- weekends, emergencies)
    • 4) Pass a Level 2 background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Candidates must have strong swimming skills, must be able to withstand long periods of time outdoors in warm conditions (~ 85°-95°F), and should be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
